“2 week volume LED lash retention BEFORE her fill.”
A guide for lash artists
An LED lash set uses a glue that cures under light instead of with moisture from the air. You place each extension while the glue is still liquid, then a short flash from an LED lamp cures it, whatever the weather. How the method works, why it carries three names, and the kit you need.

One method, three names
All three names describe one method. The lamp's light source is an LED, and the light it gives sits at about 395 nm, where ultraviolet (UVA) meets visible violet. So the same set is sold as LED lashes, UV lashes or UV LED lashes. What matters is the pair: a glue made to cure at 395 to 420 nm, and a lamp that gives out that light.
How it works
Cleanse and prep the lashes the way you always do. Then tape the lower lashes down and lay black tape and patches over the skin around the eye, so the light reaches the lash line and nothing else.
The glue waits on the extension, still liquid, while you isolate and place. Take the time each lash needs.
A tap of the foot pedal lights the lamp for 0.5 to 1 second, held around 20 cm from the lashes, and that lash is done.
Every lash is cured as you work, so a finished set needs no bonder.
A full set, step by step: the Beautibeam system. The two methods compared: UV lash glue or regular glue.

Questions
Extensions bonded with a glue that an LED lamp cures, in about a second for each lash. The same method is also sold as UV lash extensions.
Yes: one method, two names. The LED is the light source; the light itself, about 395 nm, sits at the edge of the ultraviolet range.
The client's eyes are shut and the skin around them covered for the whole set, the lamp shines for about a second per lash, and the artist wears UV-protective glasses. The full picture, with the figures: Are UV and LED lash extensions safe?
Applied well and cared for, a set bonded with Adhesive Max lasts 10 to 12 weeks, or until the natural lashes shed. How long UV lash extensions last
Yes. Regular lash glue sets with moisture and ignores the lamp. An LED set needs a glue made to cure under light, such as Adhesive Max.
Look for a lash lamp rated at 395 to 420 nm and around 5 W, worked by a foot pedal. A lamp that only gives out light near 365 nm falls outside the band Adhesive Max cures in.
Yes. The glue cures under light, not with moisture, so July humidity and January dryness make no difference.
A lash artist takes them off with a lash remover, just as with a regular set.
They hold longer and cure on your timing in any weather, and they ask for a lamp and a covering routine with every client. If you would rather not lash with LED, a regular glue is right for you, and Adhesive Pro is our best standard glue. UV lash glue or regular glue: what changes
